SB 243 Housing-Discrimination Based on Source of Income Prohibitions

The League has been involved in supporting legislation that prohibits landlords and realtors from discriminating against prospective renters/ homebuyers based on their source of income for at least the last 10 years. 

RSC (2010-3) Affordable Housing

HB 805 Property Tax – Homestead Credit for Seniors with Two Homes (Heller et al.) This bill is similar to SB232 (RSC1) but provides the second homestead tax credit only to seniors. As with SB232, the loss of tax revenue is difficult to justify in the state’s current fiscal crisis. It is being heard in Ways & Means on March 3rd.

HB 746 Procurement – Living Wage – Repeal  (Bates et al.) During the 2007 legislative session, the League was one of many advocacy groups that supported the successful passage of living wage legislation (HB430) that requires contractors and subcontractors to pay employees minimum wage rates under State procurement contracts.
